ROBERT GROGAN HONORED AS DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI

Robert Grogan has been chosen to receive one of the six Distinguished Alumni Awards at Texas State University in October at the Homecoming celebration in San Marcos, Texas. Robert graduated from Texas State in 1970 with a degree in Business Administration. This award was first created to honor Senator Lyndon B. Johnson, a graduate of TSU (then Southwest Texas State Teacher's College), in 1959. In the intervening 55 years, 180 people have been selected for this prestigious alumni award. The university now has over 40,000 students and is considered one of the finest state universities in the country.

Robert's career has included service to his country in the Peace Corps and the U.S. Army, public service in Alaska state and city government, and distinguished honors in his current fields of art and photography.
