COMMENTS FROM A COLLECTOR
"Bob, I want you to know how much we are enjoying our pieces created by you. Every day we look at them anew and realize that, of all the things in our home, these works of art are at the top of the list of things that bring us pleasure. When our home was recently threatened by fire, we grabbed photo albums and your art work as we evacuated. I  guess you could say we took only the things we consider irreplaceable. Thank you again for the beauty your work has brought to our lives."

COMMENTS FROM STUDENTS IN ROBERT GROGAN`S WORKSHOPS

"I should like to thank you, Bob, for the inspiring course in oil painting that I could attend. Knowing nothing of the subject at all and, in a sense almost intimidated by the situation, I really enjoyed the course and had many and varied opportunities to learn and to orientate me for a future oil painting `challenge` in years to come. I found your instructions and the notes provided most helpful..."

“I was thinking how much I owe you for leading my life towards art and especially oil painting. It gives me so much pleasure and adds so much more dimension to my appreciation of the world around me. I would never have discovered the joy it has given me without you having first led the way and then teaching in such a wonderful way.”

“Regardless of whether we pick up the oil paint brush in the near future or not, the course was worth EVERY PENNY because it has “opened our eyes” beyond measure. We absolutely love how we SEE life and nature and paintings. It’s incredible to us! All summer we’d see skies and sunsets and fields and vast expanses and IMMEDIATELY think of the “Plein Air Gang” and how thrilled they’d be to paint it. So, even though I didn’t keep in touch, I kept you in my mind and heart and carried you around through every one of the 10,000 miles we traveled! Honest! Think of you often with love and admiration for who you are and the influence you’ve been in my life. Thank you!”

“Thank you for teaching such a wonderful class for the Sun Valley Center last week. I truly appreciated how much preparation you put into the class--the organized syllabus, the handouts and your ability to deconstruct the techniques involved in oil painting added to the overall success of the class. Your students produced some incredible paintings! And like you said, the fact that several of those people were beginners is true testimony to your teaching ability. Thank you for providing such a significant learning opportunity for the community we share. I enjoyed working with you and hope that we can discuss plans for the future soon.” Education Director, Sun Valley Center for the Arts, Sun Valley, ID

“To the director of the Sun Valley Center for the Arts: I just completed the one week oil painting class with Bob Grogan, sponsored by your group and wanted to write to say what an important and valuable class it was! I applaud you and SVCA for this work. I will come again! The teaching was superb.”

"This was my second year in Bob`s class. Bob`s invaluable knowledge of plein air painting, especially understanding light, was the thing I liked most about the class."
